Your security and privacy

Protecting your security in real estate transactions

Understanding the Risks

Cybercriminals frequently target real estate transactions, with wire fraud being one of the most common scams. Fraudsters may impersonate real estate agents, title companies, or lenders, sending emails or texts that appear legitimate but direct buyers to transfer funds to fraudulent accounts. Once sent, these funds are nearly impossible to recover. Protecting your information and ensuring secure communication is my top priority. That’s why I use advanced security measures to help keep your data safe throughout the buying or selling process.

How I Help Keep You Secure

Apple Devices with Biometric Security

All real estate operations are conducted on Apple devices (iPhone, Mac, iPad), which provide built-in biometric authentication (Face ID and Touch ID). This adds an extra layer of security, ensuring that sensitive documents, emails, and financial transactions remain protected from unauthorized access.

Secure Email Authentication (DMARC, DKIM, SPF)

Email security is critical in preventing fraud. My email system is protected with DMARC, DKIM, and SPF authentication protocols, ensuring that emails sent from my address are legitimate and cannot be easily spoofed by scammers. If you receive an unexpected email claiming to be from me, these safeguards help confirm its authenticity.

iCloud Drive for Secure Storage & Dropbox for Client File Sharing

Your important documents are stored securely in iCloud Drive with end-to-end encryption. For client file sharing, I use Dropbox, which offers additional security features such as password-protected links and permission controls, ensuring only authorized parties can access your files.

Apple Advanced Data Protection

To enhance security, I enable Apple’s Advanced Data Protection, which extends end-to-end encryption to more types of data stored in iCloud. This means even Apple itself cannot access certain files, reducing the risk of data exposure.

Apple Lockdown Mode

For high-value transactions or when additional security is needed, Apple Lockdown Mode provides an extra layer of protection against sophisticated cyber threats. It limits exposure to hacking attempts by blocking unknown contacts and restricting certain digital communication methods.

Passkeys

Whenever possible, I use passkeys instead of traditional passwords. These phishing-resistant credentials eliminate the risk of password theft and make it much harder for hackers to gain unauthorized access to accounts.

Randomized Long Passwords & Apple Password Manager

For accounts that still require passwords, I use long, randomized passwords securely stored in Apple’s built-in password manager. This ensures that no account is compromised due to weak or reused passwords, significantly reducing the risk of credential theft.

FIDO2 Physical Security Keys

For critical logins, I use FIDO2-certified physical security keys, which require physical authentication in addition to a password. This ensures that even if a hacker obtains my password, they cannot access sensitive accounts without the physical key.

Surfshark VPN

When working remotely or on public networks, I use Surfshark VPN to encrypt my internet connection. This helps protect sensitive emails, login credentials, and financial transactions from potential cyber threats.

Apple Private Relay

Apple Private Relay provides additional security by masking my IP address and encrypting my internet traffic, making it more difficult for third parties to track or intercept sensitive information related to your real estate transaction.

Cloudflare Warp DNS

To further enhance security, I use Cloudflare Warp DNS, which encrypts internet traffic and helps block phishing attempts, malware, and other online threats before they reach my devices.

Secure Communication via Signal & WhatsApp

For clients who prefer private messaging, I offer secure communication through Signal and WhatsApp. These platforms provide end-to-end encryption, ensuring that our conversations remain confidential and protected from unauthorized access.

Your Security is My Priority

By implementing these security measures, I help ensure that your personal and financial information remains protected throughout your real estate transaction. While no system is entirely foolproof, these precautions significantly reduce the risk of fraud. If you ever receive a suspicious message regarding your transaction, always verify with me directly before taking any action.

Privacy & Security for High-Profile Clients

For high-net-worth individuals, celebrities, public figures, and anyone requiring heightened privacy, real estate transactions come with unique security concerns. Whether you’re purchasing a home, selling a property, or investing in real estate, my priority is ensuring your personal information remains confidential and your transaction is handled with the utmost discretion.

Strict Privacy Protections

No “Close and Tell” Policy

I do not publicly share details about my clients or their transactions—ever. Unless I receive express written permission, I will never disclose your identity, property details, or any aspect of your transaction.

Limited Third-Party Data Sharing

I only share client information with third parties when it is directly required to complete your transaction—such as title companies, lenders, and escrow officers. Your data is never sold, used for marketing, or shared beyond what is legally or contractually necessary.

Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)

For clients who require additional legal assurance, I am happy to sign an NDA. If you or your representatives have a specific privacy agreement in place, I will review and accommodate your requirements.

Partnership with Northwest Registered Agent for Legal Privacy

I work with Northwest Registered Agent, a leading provider of legal privacy services, to help high-profile clients maintain anonymity in real estate transactions. This includes purchasing property through LLCs, trusts, or other legal entities designed to shield ownership from public records.

Subpoena & Regulatory Compliance

Your data is only disclosed when legally required, such as compliance with a subpoena or audits mandated by the Department of Licensing (DOL). I do not voluntarily provide any client information beyond these legal obligations.

Secure Transactions with Discreet Service

Your privacy matters at every stage of the transaction. Whether purchasing under an LLC, requiring additional layers of legal protection, or simply ensuring discretion, I have the experience and security measures to meet your needs. If you have specific privacy requirements, I am happy to work with your legal team or advisors to accommodate them.
